In regards with Vodacom’s commitment to solving South Africa’s ICT skills shortage, the company provides fifty promising and deserving students each year with bursary assistance to further their studies where there are certain shortage in skills. Since it was establish in 1999, the Vodacom South Africa Bursary Programme has offered over 1,000 bursaries.

Candidate’s who are pursuing their qualifications in the following areas of discipline qualify for the bursary assistance:

Engineering and Operations

Electronic Engineering or Electrical engineering
University of technology degrees or diplomas in relevant areas of study
Information Technology

BSc in Computer Engineering
BSc in Computer Science
Information Systems
University of technology degrees or diplomas in relevant areas of study
Who can apply?
Candidate’s should be able to satisfy these minimum eligibility criteria to apply:

Must be a full-time student studying any of the above mentioned fields of study
Total annual household income must not be more than R150,000
Must be able to complete Grade 12 with exemption
Math and Science Grades should not be lower than C
Should be 25 years and below
Candidate’s already in their first year of tertiary study at a recognized university
Should be a South African citizen
Applicants from previously disadvantaged groups will be given first preference
