Job Description
– To monitor and measure products and process to ensure adequate quality control and customer satisfaction – To ensure that the plant maintains GMP/GHP standards to make sure that the quality of the products is within customer /company specification – On line Quality Control Monitoring on all products – Testing of poultry to spec standards – Same time reporting and corrective action by Processing / Engineering / QA – Reporting of results to QA – Follow up on corrective action Ensuring adherence to Rainbow’s Total Integrated Management System – Ensure compliance of GMP/HACCP guidelines and standards – Ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory and internal specifications and requirements – Participating in Product KPI audits as and when required at the plant
– Ensure good housekeeping standards in the QC monitoring stations / Lab – Accurately prepare, analyze samples, calculate and record data according to set work instructions / check sheets – Conduct any other action as and when required by QC Management. KPI’s: – People interaction – Assist with quality issues – Analysis of processing and QA statistics (check sheets) to highlight areas of concern and areas of improvement – Monitor and measure non-conformances, non-conforming material and non-conforming products – Report product quality and status of CCP’s to QA and Processing manager – Report deviations in product specification and processing to QA and Processing manager – Ensure all records are completed and accurate – Thorough observation of the plants per fully compliance – Plant star ups, Hand over and reporting of non-conformances – Must be able to work shifts/public Holidays/Weekends

Behaviour Standards: – Be brilliant at the basics – Face the brutal facts – Smash the silos – Lead with integrity, respect and energy – Be curious and challenge change – Take accountability for results and people Knowledge: – Minimum of 1 year food processing (FMCG) experience – Knowledge of HACCP (Food Safety) and ISO Quality Systems Skills & Attributes: – Verbal and written communication – Analytical skills, integrity, self-discipline – Able to demonstrate competency in all QA check procedures Qualification: – Matric with Maths and Science – It would be preferable for candidates to have a Poultry Meat Examiners/Inspectors Certificate – It would be an advantage for candidates to have previous production experience in a FMCG environment
