Job Summary: As an External Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth (both volume and value) and ensure competitive service delivery. Your role involves:
- Meeting individual performance targets for your portfolio of external sales activities.
- Collaborating on sales initiatives with relationship banking, business bank, and corporate bank teams.
- Maintaining sales disciplines to foster sustainable relationships.

Job Description:
Planning and Growth:
- Achieve sales performance objectives, focusing on Inclusive Banking, Entry Level, and Bulk Acquisition Sales in the B2C environment.
- Deliver sales and service targets in your assigned areas.
- Collaborate on sales leads for new workplace banking schemes with Relationship Banking colleagues.
- Take accountability for workplace banking schemes’ end-to-end fulfillment and penetration.
- Proactively identify cross-sell opportunities and partner with colleagues to capitalize on them.
- Monitor your own sales and service performance, seeking improvement opportunities.
- Establish networks within your defined area for Absa’s presence at key events and forums.
- Prospect and convert potential clients into business opportunities.
- Provide feedback to product and performance teams for enhancements.
- Engage existing clients on new products, services, and migration strategies.
Strategic Time Management:
- Apply and reflect on time management plans.
- Adhere to External Sales Disciplines and New Ways of Work.
Customer and Stakeholder Management:
- Engage customers in needs analysis and offer end-to-end solutions.
- Resolve client queries and concerns with a focus on resolution.
- Implement a holistic service and customer experience aligned with the external sales team process.

- Act as a Brand Ambassador for Absa.
Colleague:
- Execute External Sales activities by collaborating with team members.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Identify process efficiencies and share best practices within the External Sales team.
- Network and research to stay current in key areas of expertise.
