*Key Responsibilities:*
As a Food and Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring food safety across our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
– Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure food safety compliance
– Building effective relationships with external stakeholders, including the Department of Health
– Identifying, evaluating, and documenting risks, and staying up-to-date with changing regulations
– Administering food safety processes, including compiling reports and conducting self-inspections and audits
– Enhancing compliance through proactive training initiatives
– Investigating and addressing food-related complaints, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
*Requirements:*
To be considered for this role, you must have:
– A National Diploma or 3-year Degree in Food Science/Safety
– Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety
– In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene policies, regulations, and relevant systems
– Familiarity with FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP
– Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
– Computer literacy with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, deadline-driven approach
