Job Description:
The Department of Health is seeking a qualified Social Worker to render social work services to patients, families, and the community at large.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting home visits, placements, and facilitation of children in need of care and protection, as well as working with destitute and terminally ill patients.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
– Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions
– Proof of current registration with SACSSP (Annual Practicing Certificate)
– Valid South African driver’s license
– Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children’s Act, Domestic Violence Act, Older Person’s Act, and Mental Health Act
– Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary context
– Analytical thinking, independent decision-making, and problem-solving skills
– Effective communication skills and ability to prepare and present presentations
Duties:
– Render social work services to patients, families, and the community
– Conduct home visits and facilitate placements for children in need of care and protection
– Work with destitute and terminally ill patients
– Participate in multidisciplinary teams and attend ward rounds and team meetings
– Compile statistics, write reports, and maintain records
– Participate in audits and continuous professional development activities

Job Description:
The Department of Health is seeking a qualified Administration Clerk to perform operational duties in the office of the Chief Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general administrative tasks, compiling and printing quotations, creating spreadsheets, electronic capturing of documents, and submitting documents to stakeholders.
Requirements:
– Minimum of Grade 12/NQF 4
