Job Purpose:

Transnet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHE Agent to lead the Health and Safety spectrum in project development and execution.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical support to programmes and mega projects, ensuring the development and implementation of Health and Safety programs, strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead the development and implementation of Health and Safety programs, strategies, policies, procedures, and standards
– Provide technical support to programmes and mega projects
– Ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements
– Conduct risk assessments and audits
– Develop and implement Health and Safety management systems
– Provide training and guidance to Construction Health and Safety Managers and Officers

– Ensure effective communication and reporting of Health and Safety matters

Requirements:

– B Degree in Health and Safety or other relevant qualification
– Professional registration with SACPCMP as PrCHSA
– Minimum 5 years of experience in a Health and Safety role within the infrastructure development or construction industry
– Auditing experience or working knowledge with ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007
– Experience in implementing Health and Safety Management Systems
– Experience of working within a regulatory framework
