Role Overview: As an Enrolled Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you’ll be responsible for providing direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your role will involve patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing programs to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Appropriately charge and manage stock.
- Contribute to patient file compilation.
- Create and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Adhere to medical waste management principles.
- Report and address potential/actual risks.
- Ensure proper equipment use, cleaning, and storage.
- Uphold professional standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse or equivalent NQF 3 qualification.
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- Compliance with SANC code for Enrolled Nurses and relevant healthcare legislation.
- Relevant nursing experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in patient care and holistic approach.
- Effective communication and infection prevention skills.
