Job Description
As a Sales Representative for Tiger Brands in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa, you are the face of our company to local customers.
Your primary responsibility is to foster the growth of Tiger Brands’ business within a designated geographical area by following a defined route schedule.

Your role involves serving as a sales expert to stores, maximizing sales through strategic planning, order-writing, and supporting various activities like merchandising, shelving, stock rotation, returns, and pricing.
Your dedication lies in utilizing consumer and trade insights to meet the customer’s needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Tiger Brands products within your portfolio, along with understanding our sales systems and procedures.
- Cultivate strong business relationships with store management, aiming to provide exceptional service and value that surpasses customer expectations.
- Tailor sales programs and deliver fact-based sales presentations to meet the unique needs of each customer, considering store demographics and the current consumer base.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure they order an adequate amount of our products to meet consumer demand.
- Implement Point of Purchase (POP) strategies as per customer and brand plans, reporting on the POP scorecard.
- Conduct regular stock checks during every call cycle.
- Ensure that stores adhere to promotional space and pricing agreements.
- Verify that Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are in line with the trade agreement for each product category and space.
- Communicate plans effectively and manage merchandising resources to boost sales at the store level, working closely with merchandisers to maintain well-stocked, rotated, and attractive displays.
- Handle returns from stores properly by issuing credits and ensuring appropriate disposal.
- Gather market intelligence and report on customer preferences, competitive activities, and pricing trends.
- Serve as the crucial link between our Customer Managers and customer store management.
- Present deal sheets to buyers in a timely and effective manner.
- Efficiently manage all customer documentation and administrative tasks, including application forms, claims, and payments.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of field sales experience.
- Previous experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
