The Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking to employ a Senior Clerk Traffic: Administration to be based in Meyerton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day processing office and cashier functions, supervising administration and processing office staff, and ensuring smooth customer care services.

Requirements for the position include:

– Grade 12
– Relevant Traffic Back Office Qualifications (added advantage)
– Computer literacy Certificate
– Valid Driver’s License
– Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

– Cashier functions experience
– Knowledge of Traffic Contravention System
– Customer care skills
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
– Adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail
– 2-3 years’ relevant experience in traffic administration within a local authority or similar pressurized environment

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

– Managing the day-to-day processing office and cashier functions
– Supervising administration and processing office staff
– Ensuring smooth customer care services
– Monitoring performance and ensuring correct editing process
– Implementing and monitoring Council Policies and procedures in line with Legislation
– Handling and verifying admission of guilt register
– Managing clerk of the court functions
– Responding to customer queries
– Liaising with Law Enforcement Superintendent regarding submission of new fines
– Performing any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management

The salary range for this position is R246 336.00 – R281 388.00 p.a. (Level 08 of a Grade 04 Local Authority), with a total package inclusive of all benefits of R396 667.92 p.a.

The Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking to employ a Plumber to be based in Meyerton. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution.

Requirements for the position include:

– Grade 12
– Recognised Manpower Trade Test in Plumbing (Red Seal)
– Technical qualification in Plumbing (added advantage)
– Code 10 (C1) Driver’s license with valid PDP
– Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
– Proven knowledge and skills pertaining to water distribution and regulations of installation and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem-solving skills
– A hard-working, self-disciplined, trustworthy, and honest person
– Three (3) years’ post-qualification relevant experience in Plumbing within a Local Government Authority

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

– Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution
– Assembling and installing valves and fittings
– Installing, repairing, and maintaining water pipes valves
– Installing, repairing, and maintaining underground water piping systems
– Performing scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
– Scheduling work orders for teams and producing a detailed report on work completed
– Performing any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management

The salary range for this position is R294 900.00 p.a. – R341 784.00 p.a. (Level 07 of a Grade 04 Local Authority), with a total package inclusive of all benefits of R459 520.44 p.a.
