The eThekwini Municipality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Assistant to join their Roads Rehabilitation team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Job Purpose:
The Site Assistant will be responsible for coordinating sequences associated with monitoring compliance with standards, procedures, regulations, and specifications on various sites. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Inspect and monitor work for compliance with contract specifications
– Approve pipe laying operations and brickwork to manholes
– Monitor safety on site
– Take physical measurements and carry out simple calculations and analysis for payment purposes
– Record details of all plant and equipment on site
– Perform general administrative functions
– Approve or reject the laying of concrete kerbs and channels
