Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Grade 12 diploma.
- Code C Driving License and Professional Driving Permit.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Professional communication skills, especially with VIP clients.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience, with at least 2 years in transporting people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Transportation:
- Safely transport clients to their destinations in a timely manner.
- Plan and follow the most efficient route.
- Communicate any changes in the planned route.
- Adhere to road safety standards and maintain a comfortable vehicle temperature.
- Provide professional client interaction.
- Delivery Services:
- Deliver documents, mail, and other items to Gfleet stakeholders and clients.
- Maintain records of deliveries.
- Safe Driving:
- Use defensive driving techniques and apply hijack avoidance strategies.
- Possess basic fire safety knowledge and first aid skills.
- Navigate using tools such as Google Maps.
- Frontline Customer Service:
- Respect and assist clients, including handling luggage and providing arrival estimates.
- Address client queries politely and accurately.
- Promote Gfleet’s services and brand.
- Trip Recording and Vehicle Maintenance:
- Keep an up-to-date vehicle logbook and complete required forms accurately.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and report any issues.
- Monitor vehicle service schedules and license renewals.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum of Code C1 driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit
- Knowledge of road traffic rules
- Relevant experience in towing, assessment, or mechanics (1-2 years preferred)
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993)
- Proficiency in operating electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in MS Office and other software packages
Duties:
- Operate a tow truck and manage towing services for g-FleeT vehicles
- Safely attach and transport damaged vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Use specialized equipment to retrieve vehicles and follow proper procedures for documenting stolen vehicles
- Inspect vehicles visually to assess their condition, ensuring they are safe for transport and document any damage
- Prepare reports on accident repairs
