Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Provide a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized shopping experience for every customer. Your goal will be to make each visit memorable and enjoyable.
  • Sales and Team Motivation: Drive sales and achieve turnover goals by motivating and inspiring your team members. Your leadership will be key to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to create an attractive store environment. Ensure that product displays are visually appealing and aligned with company standards.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the sales floor clean, neat, and fully replenished. Regularly check stock levels, manage stock losses, and prevent shrinkage.
  • Stock Management: Ensure all products are correctly priced with the relevant stickers and signage. Oversee stock take and cycle count variance reports, investigate discrepancies, and report stock shortages or imbalances to the Area Manager.
  • Operational Compliance: Adhere to all store standards and operational policies. Ensure point-of-sale and banking procedures are followed, and raise any concerns with the Area Manager.
  • Operational Execution: Effectively execute all operational activities within the store to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.

Requirements:

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent certificate.
  • Passion and Knowledge: A genuine passion for cosmetics, retail, and customer service. Knowledge of beauty and skincare products is essential.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude. Ability to remain calm and pleasant even in pressurized situations.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the store’s operational needs.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with email and Excel is required. Good communication skills are essential.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and demonstrate products effectively.

Signature Cosmetics, a leading retailer in the beauty and cosmetics industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join their finance team at the Head Office in Edenvale, Gauteng. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes, particularly in managing invoices and handling various financial records.

Job Description
As a Creditors Clerk, you will be integral in managing the financial transactions between Signature Cosmetics and its partners, including Autograph. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks crucial to maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Invoice Management:
    • Capture and record invoices for all Autograph warehouse receipts, both national and international.
    • Input container details from packing lists into the system.
    • Verify that invoices align with packing slips and investigate discrepancies.
    • Process inter-company invoices between Autograph and Signature Cosmetics.
    • Ensure that received invoices are accurate and resolve any discrepancies or raise queries as needed.
  2. Financial Reconciliation:
    • Match banking statement details with system records, ensuring accuracy in dates and forwarding for approval when required.
    • Assist with the financial year-end processes and provide support to the finance team as needed.
  3. Administrative Support:
    • Perform general finance and office duties including filing, data entry, answering phones, addressing queries, and processing emails and physical post.
    • Generate invoices for Autograph customers and compile documentation for SARS ad valorlem submissions.
    • Capture invoice journals for selected vendors and raise queries with your line manager or relevant departments.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification is required.
    • Ideally, you should be studying towards or possess a B Com, Diploma, or Certificate in Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an accounts department, particularly with creditors.
    • Experience in capturing and verifying financial data is essential.
    • General experience in finance, administration, and accounts is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Good communication skills for addressing queries and providing support.
