The EAs and EQAs play a veritably important part in aiding the GDE to insure that the integrity of the examinations isn’t compromised at any position and that all campaigners will admit results that are fair, valid and dependable. As part of icing that the 2022 National Senior Certificate Examinations( NSC) are fair and believable, the GDE is looking for a aggregate of 1 524 EAs and EQAs.
This comprises of
• 266 Examination sidekicks and
• 1 258 Quality Assurers.
Examination sidekicks will be appointed at District services and at the Head Office to help with the receiving and controlling of scripts of campaigners who sit for the 2022 NSC Examinations. EAs will be appointed in all 15 sections in Gauteng to help with the controlling, scanning and packaging of scripts for Marking Centres.
The process begins with the inception of the 2022 NSC Examinations on 30 October 2022 and ends when the final examination is written on 6 December 2022.
EXAMINATION QUALITY ASSURERS
Examination Quality- Assurers will be appointed to help with the controlling of scripts in 24 Marking Centres. Marking will be conducted between 10 and 20 November 2022 and from 7 to 20 December 2022.
EQAs will be appointed for one marking session only. The main liabilities will be the controlling of scripts before and after marking. The EQAs insure that the entire script has been marked, marks have been calculated and transferred
, rightly, and that all scripts are reckoned for.
NB Thorough training is handed previous to the inception of duties and all nominees are needed to subscribe a Confidentiality Agreement and law of Conduct once the conditions have been bandied with them.
