Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Aged between 18 to 34
- Grade 12 or equivalent
Selection Criteria: To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must:
- Not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year
- Not be studying full-time during the year of employment
- Not have participated or registered in the YES initiative before
- Applicants will go through a recruitment process, and if successful, will be placed in Eskom Operations across the Clusters.
Skills and Competencies: The YES program, a key component of the public-private initiative, aims to combat youth unemployment in South Africa in line with BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) definitions. It invites young, motivated South Africans to enter the job market and gain valuable work experience in the dynamic energy industry.
Successful candidates will receive a 12-month contract to work in various departments, including Supporting Retail Business (facilitating and enabling the Key Revision Number (KRN) Project, collecting and capturing customer data, resolving KRN vending-related issues, and prepaid services), among others.
