Job Description: As a General Miner at Anglo American, you will hold legal responsibility for construction blasting under MHSA regulations. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, from moving personnel, materials, and ore to construction within the mining domain. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring safe working areas through regular inspections.
- Adhering to safety and mining standards.
- Communicating, applying, and ensuring the understanding of up-to-date operating standards and procedures.
- Managing explosives and preparing blasting areas to safety standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining adherence to standards, making corrections as necessary.
- Continuous communication and collaboration with supervisors and the team.
- Providing shift reports and recording operational progress and material orders accurately.
- Ensuring that team members have access to required job instructions and checklists.
Qualifications: To be eligible for this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Grade 10 education.
- National Certificate NQF Level 3 in Rock Breaking or a Valid Blasting Certificate for underground (Hard Rock).
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Miner or Crew Captain.
- Trackless mining experience is advantageous.
Additional Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test.
