Position: Medical Receptionist Location: Alberton, Gauteng
Job Description: Join our Ophthalmology practice in Alberton as a Medical Receptionist. We are seeking an organized and communicative individual to manage various administrative tasks and provide exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming calls and schedule appointments.
- Record and manage bookings in the diary, including theatre bookings.
- Prepare pre-admission forms and theatre files for authorization.
- Maintain client service principles and manage patient expectations through diary management.
- Address client queries within 24 hours.
- Prepare patient scripts for the doctor.
- Proactively manage patient information before doctor consultations.
- Handle basic administrative duties like file management.
- Control and order in-rooms stock as needed.
Requirements:
- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
- Ophthalmic knowledge and experience in a doctor’s practice are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Goodx, and Elixir.
- Elixir Live training is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Patient-oriented with exceptional customer care focus.
- Ability to adapt to changes and emergencies in the diary on short notice.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / Matric (Required)
- Certificate (Preferred)
- Medical receptionist experience: 3 years (Required)
