Job Summary:

The Gauteng Department of Health is seeking to appoint ten cleaners to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the hospital. The deadline for applications is May 17, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

– Wipe and mop floors
– Clean lockers, steel dust bins, and basins
– Use equipment and chemicals correctly
– Clean toilets and maintain checklists
– Replace hand towels and refill soap bottles
– Clean lockers, bedsteads, curtain rails, and trolleys
– Perform terminal cleaning and disinfection
– Ensure the safekeeping of cleaning equipment/material
– Perform laundry duties

Requirements:

– Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent
– Cleaning/laundry experience in a hospital/clinical environment (recommended)
– Knowledge of customer service, self-drive, and motivation
– Ability to read, write, and work well within a team
– Availability for shift work
