As a Senior Technician – Time & Attendance, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for our time and attendance, access control, and related systems. Main Purpose of the Position:
The successful candidate will be a dedicated resource to provide proactive and reactive maintenance, installation, and support for our X-time access control and time and attendance hardware and software solutions. This includes ensuring system reliability, performing software updates, and troubleshooting issues promptly.
Responsibilities:
– Proactive Maintenance:
– Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on X-time access control and time and attendance hardware and software.
– Identify potential issues and implement preemptive measures to ensure system reliability.
– Perform software updates and patches to maintain system security and functionality.
– Reactive Maintenance:
– Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues with X-time access control and time and attendance systems.
– Diagnose hardware and software malfunctions and implement timely repairs or replacements.
– Document all maintenance activities and resolutions accurately for future reference.
– Installation:
– Install and configure X-time access control and time and attendance hardware and software according to client specifications.
– Ensure proper integration with existing systems and networks.
– Provide end-user training on system operation and functionality.
– Database Management:
– Utilize specialized knowledge of SQL database management to maintain and optimize the performance of X-time software.
– Manage database configurations, backups, and security protocols.
– Execute data queries and generate custom reports as needed.
– Device Management:
– Manage and maintain tag card readers, biometric fingerprint devices, and facial recognition devices.
– Calibrate and troubleshoot devices to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
– Coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements when necessary.
– Boom Gates and Turnstiles:
– Apply intimate knowledge and experience in the maintenance and operation of boom gates and turnstiles.
– Conduct regular inspections and repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
– Collaborate with relevant stakeholders for system upgrades or modifications.
Requirements:
– Qualifications:
– Grade 12
– Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Degree or Diploma)
– Experience:
– Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in the installation and maintenance of Access control and Time & Attendance systems.
– Skills and Knowledge:
– Intermediate Computer literacy and proficiency
– Broad knowledge of Time and Attendance
