The Matatiele Local Municipality is seeking 16 dedicated individuals to fill the position of EPWP General Workers in the Public Amenities & EPWP Unit. This fixed-term contract (35 months) offers a stipend of R3,050 per month. As an EPWP General Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the municipality’s infrastructure, ensuring the effective delivery of services to the community.
*Key Responsibilities*
– Perform general laboring tasks associated with cleaning, clearing, and maintaining potholes, fosses, and drains
– Clean up after tasks and attend to housekeeping and tool maintenance
– Report incidents related to work or request assistance with fire management
– Assist with the conservation of tools, equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure
– Monitor and record resource operation data
– Perform any other duties assigned by competent authority
*Minimum Requirements*
– Grade 7 qualification
– South African citizenship
– Good physical health
*Preferred Qualifications*
– Relevant experience in a similar role
– Valid Driver’s License (where applicable)
– Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques
