Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Assistant/Cashier to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer shopping experience through stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping, and efficient processing of transactions at till points.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide excellent customer service to give customers a great shopping experience.
2. Assist shoppers to find goods and products.
3. Attend to customer queries and complaints.
4. Perform cashier duties, including processing cash and card payments, lay-bys, and customer refunds.
5. Report discrepancies and problems to the supervisor and balance tills.
6. Ensure stock is correctly priced and displayed, and maintain product availability on the sales floor.
7. Keep up to date with promotions and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
8. Ensure products are tagged in line with company policy, participate in stock takes, and report suspicious behavior to Management.
Requirements:
– Excellent customer service skills
– Communication skills – fluent in English (any other language beneficial)
– Tenacious and highly motivated
– High energy levels
– Previous retail experience advantageous
