Job Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to perform laboring activities associated with providing support to logistical requirements, preparation of equipment for loading and unloading of products and chemicals, and general housekeeping activities.
Key Accountabilities:
– Safety:
– Correct identification and use of PPE
– Participate in emergency preparedness exercises
– Perform routine inspections on safety equipment and ensure maintenance where applicable
– Housekeeping:
– Cleaning of plant areas, benches, floors, PPE, glassware, etc.
– Packing materials in storage areas
– Safe handling, stacking, and storage of chemicals/dangerous materials
– Loading and offloading of vehicles
– General:
– Assist dedicated personnel in performing discipline-specific tasks
– Perform discipline-specific activities according to instruction
– Deliver messages and parcels where applicable
– Work overtime as and when required
Requirements:
– Formal Education: Grade 12 or N3 with Maths and Science as subjects
– Code EC1 driver’s license
– Forklift driver’s license (added advantage)
– Min Experience: 0+ relevant years of experience
