The Department of Home Affairs is seeking to employ 14 Mobile Drivers to be based in various areas nationwide. The successful candidates will be responsible for facilitating the provision of client services to service points, administering and implementing the provision of enabling documents to clients, operating specialized equipment, and driving mobile units to required service points.

Requirements for the position include:

– A 3-year tertiary qualification in Public Administration/Management or a related field

– 1 year of clerical/administration experience in an operations environment
– A valid driver’s license (Code 10, C) and Public Driver Permit (PDP)
– Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Civic Services prescripts
– Knowledge of National Treasury and Public Finance Management Act
– Knowledge of Human Resource Regulatory Framework
– Proven client-focus and orientation
– Communication and sound interpersonal skills

– Time management and problem-solving skills
– Planning and organizing skills
– Leadership ability and conflict management skills

The successful candidates will be required to perform a range of duties, including:

– Facilitating the provision of client services to service points
– Administering and implementing the provision of enabling documents to clients
– Operating specialized equipment
– Driving mobile units to required service points

– Coordinating and liaising with the schedule and Logistics Manager
– Maintaining accurate and up-to-date scheduled trip sheets
– Performing daily-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
– Reporting incidents and accidents timeously
– Compiling vehicle condition reports and other records requested by management
– Coordinating with any duties required by management in the quest for client service excellence

– Adhering to the disciplinary code, code of conduct, and all operational manuals provided by DHA
