The Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking a hardworking and self-disciplined individual to fill the position of EPWP General Worker in various sections.
As a General Worker, you will be responsible for manual labor tasks, including loading and off-loading materials, putting out traffic signs, cleaning work areas, and executing instructions from supervisors.
Requirements:
– Grade 10 (Grade 12 an added advantage)
– Valid Driver’s License (added advantage)
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (must be bilingual)
– Ability to follow instructions and work in a team

– Good physical health and basic skills for manual labor
– At least 1 year of experience in general work in Engineering Services (Water, Purification, Sewer, Electrical) within Local Government Authority
Duties:
– Load and off-load materials and equipment
– Put out traffic signs to warn traffic during excavation work
– Clean work areas and ensure a safe environment
– Execute instructions from supervisors and perform ad-hoc tasks
– Meet operational requirements and promote productivity
Salary:
– R140.85 per day (EPWP General worker daily rate)
– Fixed-term contract for 2 years
