Eskom, South Africa’s leading electricity public utility, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Assistant Officer Safety, Health, and Environment in the KZN Coastal region. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Implement safety, health, and environmental risk control strategies
– Provide expert advice on occupational safety, health, and environmental matters
– Develop and implement risk profiles
– Ensure compliance with legislation and governance requirements
– Advise on training requirements
– Promote awareness about the safe use and dangers of electricity
Requirements:
– National Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or Risk Management (NQF 6)
– 2 years of experience in safety, health, and environment
– Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental principles
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
– Ability to work under pressure and analyze data
This is an internal position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the East Grid Location, Kwa-Zulu Natal. The closing date for applications is August 21, 2024.
