  6. Handling Email Correspondence
    • Provide professional and detailed responses to email inquiries, maintaining the same standard of care as phone communications.
  7. Educating Clients
    • Offer clear guidance on SASSA’s processes, grant eligibility criteria, and other relevant policies.
  8. Directing Calls
    • Route calls to the appropriate officials or teams for specialized assistance.

Minimum Requirements for Applicants

To qualify for the Call Centre Agent role, candidates must meet these essential criteria:

    • Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  2. Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly for updating client records and managing the Customer Care Application.
  3. Experience and Knowledge
    • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in customer service or a call center environment.
    • Knowledge Areas:
      • Familiarity with SOCPEN (Social Pension System).
      • Awareness of legislation such as the Social Assistance Act and SASSA Act.
      • Understanding organizational procedures within the social assistance framework.
