Introduction

The primary focus of this role is to provide outstanding service by efficiently handling point-of-sale (POS) operations and engaging in merchandising activities. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a memorable shopping experience for customers while supporting the company’s vision of becoming a leading health and beauty retailer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Point-of-Sale Operations

  • Accurately execute all POS tasks promptly.
  • Ensure precise scanning of merchandise and collection of payments for purchases.
  • Process Clicks ClubCard rewards effectively during transactions.

2. Cash Handling

  • Adhere to secure cash-handling protocols at all times to minimize risk.

3. ClubCard Promotions

  • Actively promote the Clicks ClubCard to customers.
  • Register new ClubCard members to meet participation goals.

4. Sales Promotions

  • Inform customers about ongoing promotions and discounts to drive sales.
  • Help customers feel valued and satisfied with their purchases.

5. Customer Service

  • Serve as a brand ambassador by delivering professional, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Ensure customer queries and concerns are addressed effectively.

6. Merchandising and Housekeeping

  • Execute merchandising activities as per store guidelines and visual merchandising standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store to enhance the shopping environment.

7. Knowledge and Awareness

  • Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and events.
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding products and offers.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Understanding retail/FMCG environments, including merchandising and promotions.
  • Familiarity with stock management and inventory practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience
