Employer: JJ Division Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant to join their team at the Bryanpark store. Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12 / Matric)
- Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Proficiency in Unisolv
- Computer literacy, including MS Office

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines or scheduled substances
- Participate in compounding, manipulation, or preparation of non-sterile medicines according to approved formulas and procedures
- Contribute to the manufacturing of non-sterile medicines following established guidelines
- Aid in repackaging of medicines
- Manage distribution and stock control of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines or substances
- Collaborate in ordering medicines and substances up to Schedule 6 as per authorized instructions
- Interpret prescriptions, select appropriate medicines, label supplies accurately
- Ensure precise script interpretation, accurate medication handling, and patient instruction
- Stay updated on medical aid procedures, claims, and dispensing requirements
- Collaborate with patients on script tracking and follow-up appointments
- Explain medical aid costs and provide health-related information
- Process paperwork for accurate medical aid claims
- Rectify errors on rejected scripts
- Obtain authorizations for specialized medications
- Maintain customer profiles and report stock issues to management
- Receive and merchandise dispensary stock, facilitate stock takes
- Manage stock, cash, and assets
