Transnet is seeking applications from recent graduates for the position of Young Professional-in-Training in the field of Architecture and Urban & Regional Planning. This role will involve collaborating with the Integration and Spatial Planning Team to conduct built environment studies, analyze concept designs and site drawings, adhere to architectural standards and regulations, and contribute to site and building design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on Integrated and Spatial Planning projects, including master planning and architectural drawings.
- Produce construction, tender, and as-built documentation.
- Develop project proposals, concepts, and fee proposals.
- Manage statutory approval applications and bidding on potential building projects.
- Work closely with project teams to define project requirements.
- Create detailed drawings for building projects’ appearance and interior structure.
- Present to the public about upcoming building projects.
- Attend project meetings and perform site inspections.

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Town and Regional Planning.
- Demonstrated dedication to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Ability to manage pressure, handle criticism, and rebound from setbacks effectively.
- Awareness of leadership styles and flexibility to enhance team and business performance.
- Strong drive to achieve challenging goals with enthusiasm and persistence.
